Emotion Show

February 7th, 2010

Emotion can be a powerful thing and often difficult to capture within a piece of art. But artist members of the Tri-State Art Guild have been asked to come up with artwork depicting an emotion of their choice. Granted, that will be a challenge, but they have until March 27, 2010 to complete the works. Also, beginning May 22, the juxtaposition of large and small artworks will be shown in the Really Big & Really Tiny Shows. More on these to come!

If non-member artists would like to participate in this and all of the remaining shows this year, all they have to do is go to our website www.tri-stateartguild.org and download a membership form and mail it in with their dues.  Annual dues are listed on the form. There is no charge to enter most of our shows with the exception of  juried shows and those open to non-members.  For additional questions about the guild, artists may call the guild president, Carolyn Jones, at 270-826-6674.

Hello world!

August 29th, 2009

Welcome to our new blog! We hope you will check back often to see what is going on with the guild and also give us some of your own creative thoughts and ideas as well.  Make sure to visit our new exhibit at Angel Mounds that went up today called “Our Cultural Heritage”.  Artwork on display was created with either the artists personal heritage in mind or one that has special meaning for them. This is a wonderful member show with very diverse subjects and mediums with heritages ranging from English to Vietnamese. A shouldn’t miss opportunity!

Hours are the same as for the mounds Mon-Sat 9-5 and Sun 1-5
