"Red Spirals" On exhibition in the Abstract Show
The Abstract Show is now up at Angel Mounds and will continue until March 26, 2010. The show is open to the public but there is a museum admission fee if you want to look at the Native American exhibit. Exhibiting artists include Sharon Roth, Emily Mabee, Sherry Wilkerson, Val Alsop, Carolyn Jones, Susan Petty, Ann Nagy, Julie Lovins, Karen Genter, Pat Schaffer, Elizabeth Davis, Steve Cochran and Julie Byczynski.
In addition to attending Native American Days, several of our guild members are exhibiting in the Haynie’s Corner Art Festival this year on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 10-6. Admission is $5 per adult, kids are free. With all the arts and cultural events going on this month, it may be difficult to decide which ones we want to attend but it will be well worth the effort.
This is the 27th year for the Angel Mounds Native American Days festival. For the past 2 years, Angel Mounds has hosted the Tri-State Art Guild shows and has been by far, one of our greatest assests. We hope that everyone show their support by attending this wonderfull cultural event. There will be around 25 different activities for kids and adults alike and if you would like to volunteer to help with any of them, contact Angel Mounds asap to get your name on the list.
